 WHY WE DO

WHAT WE DO

Culture Seed Collective is a non for profit collaborative endeavour established on the Sunshine Coast of Australia in late 2018, founded and directed by Miss Lily-Taloola Mcbride.

The inspiration for this organisation started at the early age of three years old when Lily-Taloola was put into a induced coma after suffering from a deadly brain disease called meningococcal meningitis, a rare but very serious bacterial infection that attacks the delicate membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord. Doctors said it was a miracle that Lily survived completely unscathed from this illness as it was later found out that if she had arrived at the hospital just thirty minutes later she would have lost her life.

Using this experience as the driving force, Lily-Taloola has spent her adult life traveling

around the world studying and working in the health and wellness industry with the intention to help spread the importance of living each day as if it's your last.

Whilst been brought up by her creative mother on a family build houseboat in her home country of England, Music had been an integral part of Lily’s recovery after the illness. When fully recovered Lily found a passion for music & dance throughout her time at school, This had a profound effect on building Lily’s confidence, self-belief and all-round happiness after the trials of recovery. The neurological studies of music on the brain seem to indicate that we're hardwired to interpret and react emotionally to music and movement.

It seems that, across cultures, certain features of music are common to all experiences, suggesting that they developed in similar ways to regulate or inspire similar emotional experiences throughout the world.

Lily-Taloola created Culture Seed Collective as a means to help others break through emotional blocks, and become stronger in their own beliefs & abilities by creating carefully crafted music-related workshops to suit the needs of those in homeless shelters, children’s schools, children’s hospitals, community events, elderly homes and more..

We collaborate with local independent businesses to help support other communities pursuing their dreams.
